Lancaster Art Vault is proud to present Ascension, a powerful new solo exhibition by Resident Artist Kristin Witbeck Lee, opening First Friday, July 5 in the Main Gallery (with previews starting July 3).
Witbeck Lee, whose Haudenosaunee name means “One who splashes water,” brings a deeply spiritual and nature-connected perspective to her work. Known for her intimate still lifes and emotive landscapes, she now unveils her Ascension series — a collection of radiant alcohol ink paintings that reflect the fluidity of transformation, emotion, and healing.
Rooted in Indigenous wisdom, Waldorf arts education, and studies with contemporary masters, Witbeck Lee’s work flows like the living water that inspires it — vibrant, ever-changing, and richly layered with meaning. She holds an MFA from Bennington College and has exhibited her work at prestigious institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Ganondagan Seneca Art & Culture Center; and the New York State Museum Gallery.
This is her first solo show at Lancaster Art Vault and a striking visual journey you won't want to miss.
