Koi Among the Lilies was inspired by photographs I took of lily ponds at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, a constant source of visual inspiration. I was drawn to the organic shapes and quiet beauty of the lilies, combining my flat, graphic botanical style with high-relief texture. Vibrant orange koi stand out against the cool, blue-toned background, creating movement and depth and inviting the viewer into an imagined world beneath the surface.
