"Trauma Bonds & Paper Trails" is an intimate visual narrative exploring the intersections of pain, healing, and connection. In this deeply personal series, Tatiana Tisdale honors the people who stood by her in times of profound vulnerability—the friends, family, and loved ones who helped her reclaim wholeness. Each painting is a layered dedication to loyalty, resilience, and the transformative power of being seen.
Blending abstract expression with traditional elements, Tatiana’s mixed media works burst with texture and emotion. Acrylics, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, and unconventional tools come together to form a tactile “paper trail” of her journey—tracing the story of who she was, who she is, and who she continues to become.
This exhibition is more than a reflection on trauma; it is a celebration of survival, growth, and the quiet hope found in connection. Through her evolving, joy-driven practice, Tatiana reminds us that even in pain, there is beauty—and someone waiting for us on the other side.
Tatiana is a self-taught, multi-passionate artist whose work has been featured in exhibitions in Athens, Greece, and London, England. Constantly experimenting with new techniques, she seeks to spread joy and evoke emotion through her bold use of color, texture, and deeply personal storytelling. “Painting has always been an intrinsic part of my being,” she says. “Even when I tried to venture away from the world of art, my love for painting always found its way back to me.”
