Call for Art: "Figuratively Speaking"

Lancaster Art Vault invites artists to submit work for Figuratively Speaking, an exhibition that explores the human form and the human experience in all its expressions.

While grounded in figurative work and portraiture, this exhibition welcomes a broad interpretation of the theme. Artists are encouraged to submit works that move beyond literal representation to include symbolic, conceptual, and abstract explorations of what it means to be human.

Submitted works may examine identity, emotion, memory, movement, connection, and lived experience. We are interested in pieces that communicate through gesture and anatomy as well as those that evoke the human presence through suggestion, atmosphere, or metaphor.

All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, and printmaking. Together, the selected works will create a layered and thoughtful narrative that reflects the many ways the human form and spirit can be interpreted and expressed.

Artists of all backgrounds and career stages are encouraged to apply.
